Qatari NEBRAS will purchase 2 26.5 MW solar PV plants from UDP Renewables

Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has allowed the investment company Nebras Power Investment Management BV (Netherlands), part of the Qatari group NEBRAS, to buy more than 50% from Terslav LLC and Sun LLC Power Pervomaisk, 20 MW and 6.5 MW solar power plants, respectively, owned by Ukrainian investment and development company UDP Renewables.

The decision was published on December 22, 2020 by the AMCU.

The strategic investor of UDP Renewables is the holding company UFuture, owned by Ukrainian businessman Vasyl Khmelnytsky.

According to information on the Nebras website, the company began operations in 2014. It is owned by two Qatari state organizations - Qatar Electricity and Water Company (60%) and Qatar Investment Authority (40%). Nebras operates power plants with a total capacity of 6.3 GW.

UDP Renewables launched the 20 MW Terslav solar PV plant in Dnipropetrovsk region on May 6, 2020. Investments in the project amounted to about € 15.5 million. Solar PV plant “Terslav" covers an area of ​​28 hectares and is equipped with more than 91 thousand solar panels of LONGi Solar, which allows it to produce 23,275 MWh per year.

Solar PV plant "Sun Power Pervomaisk" was commissioned in November 2019, its capacity is 6.5 MW.
